Alexiou Eleftherios was born in Corfu in August 1982. He started getting involved with sports and in particular with tennis at the age of 5. At the age of 14 he leaves the province and comes to Athens to dedicate his life to the championship. He is champion in Greece at ages 14-18 and also represented Greece in European competitions participating as the first with the national team of juniors and he is listed among the top 100 athletes in the world under 18. In the category of men he is participating for years to the team Davis cup (National team) and in 2004, he achieves the number 521 in the world ranking of the ATP.
His greatest sporting successes are: member of the pre-Olympic team in 2004, 3rd place in men (2005-2007), 5th place in Mediterranean Games men Almeria 2005), 1st place in the next national championship in men (1999,2000,2002,2003 , 2004.2005), 2nd place in the Panhellenic champion in men (2003). He is also a graduate in science department of physical education and sports (physical education) in 2007. He continues his studies at the Medical School of Athens (UOA) where he graduated in 2013. He continues as a graduate student in the National School of Public Health.
Since 2008, he has been working as a tennis coach in sports group of Kifisia.
