Anthi Mylonaki was born in Chania, Crete on 10-6-1984. She has started being involved with sports since she was 4 years old, trying various sports until the age of 12, she was ''accidentally'' found in a swimming pool. Since then she remains in this field as a champion in water polo.
She started in N.O.Chanion team with which won their respective national championship. In 2001, she was chosen by the national girls and women team and conquers the first European position in girls. She was voted as the best goalkeeper in Europe while she was asked by the team of Vouliagmeni and she comes to Athens permanently at the age of 17. In 2002, she won again the first European place in the category of girls with the national team and the 2nd National place with the team of Vouliagmeni. In 2003, she wins the European Cup, the LEN TROPHY and the National Championships in the category of women and young women. In 2004, she won the 2nd nationwide place in women, but this year is the most important of her career. Mylonaki won the 2nd place in the Athens Olympics. For the next two years (2005.2006) she won again the national championship in women. In 2006, after a traffic accident it was announced by doctors that she needs to stop sports. She never believed that and after 2 surgeries, she returns to action. In 2007, she won the national championship in women and returns to the national team. In the following year, she participates in the national team with which she was qualified in the Beijing Olympics and she wins the 2nd place in the FINAL FOUR in Europe and the second place in the national championship in women. At this year, she decides to leave the national team and to begin studies at the University Harokopio in Dietetics and Nutrition segment in Athens. In 2009, she took part in the Olympic team and won the first nationwide women's position. In 2010, after a serious injury she was forced to have a surgery on her hip.
She manages to return again in the championship but she decides not to continue in the Olympic team. In 2011, she goes to Triton Maroussi team, and it is the team which is involved for the first time in A1 category. This team with Mylonaki as a leader, manages to finish third in Panhellenic championship in women. In 2012, she decides to leave the A1 and plays in the team of Larissa and this year she returned to the A1 category and plays for N.O.Rethymno team. But her activities are not confined only to the field of aquatics. She participates in the Association of Olympians programs concerning children and nutrition while she is practicing at the Olympic Aquatic Department.
