Anastasios Papalazarou is Dietitian-Nutritionist, graduate and Doctor of Science Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Harokopio University. He studied at King's College, University of London and he got also his Master’s degree in the field of Human Nutrition in 1993-94. In 2001-2003, he got his second master’s degree in sports nutrition from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Harokopio, as in September of 2011, he completed his doctoral thesis at the same Department concerning the effect of a model behavior modification in patients with morbid obesity.
He has been working as a Dietician since 1991 and he is a member of several scientific associations. He has attended many conferences in both Greece and abroad and has been invited as a speaker at many of them. His personal interest both in research and professionally focuses on treating obesity and he is one of the first dietitians in Greece who dealt with the effect of modifying behavior (Behavior modification) in weight loss.
His private office is placed in Kolonaki since 1995 and also he is the founder of dietary nutrimed offices at the same year. He writes regularly in newspapers and magazines and at the same time he is participating in various TV shows with nutrition. He has also written books such as: 1. "No Diet" (published by Papazisis Editions 2005) which is the first book in Greece dealing with behavior modification techniques to change the way of thinking about food and weight control and 2. "Checkmate in obesity with 5 movements "(published by Ion Editions 2008) 3." Diary of Nutritional Behaviour 2011 "(published by Diptych Editions) 4." The special diet "(published by Alpha Editions SA 2013) and he has participated in the writing of the book ''Principles of Clinical Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy'' , by M. Chourdakis-D. Kouvelas published by Rotunda Editions, 2007.
